Keeping with my "new" tradition of two-color quilts, Sunflower Summer is made from the pattern "Anything Goes" included in the book, "Take Two and Add a Few" by Atkinson Designs.  I've seen this quilt made with so many different fabrics - red/white, navy/white, pink/green - and it lends itself so nicely to both strong and soft color palettes.  Seen above is the detailing using hand-dyed velvet ribbon from Grosgrain Annie's - a wonderful vendor at the Lakewood 400 Antiques in Cumming, GA.  This is a commission quilt, and available by special order - approximately $350 (queen sized bed quilt)
