As the Christmas holidays get closer, I'm quilting lots of quilts that my customers will give as gifts. This particular one is for Minnie Jackson's granddaughter, Sara, and features a background of white with red stars. The border fabric is Mary Engelbreit's "Best Friends" collection in red/white, and we've chosen a Mettler Red thread and the busy bee quilt stitch to highlight the quilting detail. It makes such a beautiful quilt when doing a two-color combination such as black/white, blue/white, sage/buttercup. Like I said in my blogspot, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Ho! Ho! Ho!
